Ko Lipe is a tiny island situated in the southern Thai province of Satun and is located in the Andaman Sea. The island is situated in the Tarutao National Marine Park and although it is gradually becoming more popular, it is still a considerably relaxing area for now. Visitors can try out scuba diving right off the island, crystal clear beaches, inexpensive food and friendly, active locals. Avoid the holiday season when the crowds peak.
Surin National Park is found some 60 km off the west coast of Phang Nga province. The excellent snorkeling, hiking and game fishing are what most visitors come for, and those hoping to find a relaxing refuge from the visitors traps will be delighted with the lack of “development.” Surin Nuea is also home to a community of around 150 Moken, or “sea gypsies”, who have settled there on a semi-permanent basis for several decades. The islands are protected and can only be visited by organized tours, which helps keep the diving good and the crowds thin.
Traveling to Phuket, it is one of the most popular and attractive tourist spots in Thailand. Known as Tha-Laang or Talang or even Junk Ceylon, it is nestled on the south of Thailand with the cities of Phang Nga and Krabi neighboring it.
Since Phuket is located off the Andaman Sea, it has good weather. It has a tropical monsoon weather along with warm temperature throughout the year. You can experience here three seasons including winter, summer and rainy season as well. However, the weather doesn’t create any hassle in your traveling to the city. Phuket has a wide range of attractive places where the travelers can explore and have a lot of fun.
If you have a chance, you have to enjoy a Bangkok visit. Bangkok is a metropolitan city and is also the capital city of Thailand. It is one of Southeast Asia’s most popular commercial centers. More than anywhere else in the country, Bangkok tops the list in expressing the culture’s uncanny ability to blend the old with the new. Bangkok embraces modern development and presents an initial picture of thrusting office buildings, five-star hotels offering high-end comforts, sky-scraping shopping malls, restaurants offering Thailand’s well-known spicy specialties and virtually every other national gourmet.
Bangkok is an excellent destination to splurge and is often called “the shopper’s stop.” The city is chockfull of many shopping arcades which are very different on their own. The entire streets usually sells only one kind of product ranging from fresh flowers, clothes, gemstones, electronics, monk supplies, and even guns. The city’s other cultural destinations are the Siam society, national museum, national library and the Thai cultural center.
